AZTEC WARRIOR I remember dancing with bare feet On the surface of the sun The heat was like a magic My mind and body became as one An Aztec Warrior spirit From the belly of the sun I remember hopping curbs and walls And walking heel to toe on the steel rails Diving in the tide pools on moon lit nights Giving bare ass salutes to the Amtrak travelers An Aztec Warrior spirit From the belly of the sun I remember staring into the morning sun And instead of blinding brightness It gently cleansed my troubled spirit And I began to pray I have seen the killing fields Of a future some have planned And looked away in sadness, not to spill a tear When I saw the seed of evil planted In the race we call mankind In a world with so much madness That robbed my life of gladness Pray my spirit will rest with peace someday But until the war is over and love can find its way An Aztec warrior spirit, will be with me to stay
